Who is S.m. Torres?

It’s kind of a pretentious way to begin an “About” page, as if I’m about to embark on a philosophical journey of who I am, but if you are here reading this page, then you have probably asked, Who is S.m. Torres?

That, or you’ve thought, You forgot to capitalize the “m.”

I didn’t.

I could have avoided a lot of corrections if I had decided to go by S.M. Torres or even s.m. torres, but I didn’t. I like the S big and I like the m small, and consequently people tend to think my name is Sam when it isn’t.

I do not take myself very seriously, but I will correct you if you try to capitalize the m in my name.

In a nutshell, S.m. Torres is a writer. You already know that, but it’s true. I write things. I write things for no money and I’ve written things for very little money–and maybe one day I’ll write things for enough money to have me keep writing things for the sake of writing things.

For now, all I really care about is that you know my name, how it’s spelled, how it looks. I’ll keep writing in the meantime and you can get to know me then.
